Darryl Reuben Hall's DRAWN FROM THE WATER
This promising new musical penned by Darryl Reuben Hall has been in the works for quite some time. Readings have been hosted in New York City and Jacksonville, FL with noted Broadway actors/friends: Angela Robinson (The Color Purple and now appearing on the OWN Network's Tyler Perry's The Haves and The Have Nots), Natasha Yvette Williams, Roumel Reaux, Lavon Fisher, Stacey Sargeant.
DRAWN FROM THE WATER is a modern take on the story of Moses as told in the Books of Exodus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy from the King James Bible. Moses is the predestined deliverer and leader of the Exodus.
The music is an eclectic mix of Gospel, Rap, R & B, and Percussive sounds mixed with Jewish musical elements.
